New Aggregator EL ITB 2003
I got information from anugrah that the engine for “Elektro ITB 2003″ blog aggregator was changed from gregarius into wordpess 2.5.1. He used the FeedWordPress plugin for making this aggregator. Well, i suggest him to use the engine since the aggregator was in the idea concept. Why should use wordpress instead of the other engine? The consideration was simple. First, wordpress is opensource and is used by many people as blog engine, so the security is not too bad. The second, Wordpress has many free beautifull theme (more wodpress theme than gregarius theme). We can change the theme easily (easier than using planetplanet) by clicking the design link shortcut. Third, the ability of FeedWordPress is the same with the other aggregator engine. FeedWordPress is designed with flexibility, ease of use, and ease of configuration in mind. Using this FeedWordPress, the ability to create cron jobs on the web host is not absolutely necessary. We don’t need to tweak any plain-text configuration files and don’t need shell access to the web host to make it work. So this plugin is simple and powerfull.

what a great plugin,but how about memory use for this plugin? is it take lots of memory to run this plugin?

Feedwordpress do automatic update rss every 60 minutes. When update the rss, it will consume memory resource because this engine will check every syndication and then update the database. The usage of memory resource depend on how many syndication which you have.
More syndication will consume more memory resource.
